Diapers: Potty Training DVD
A potty training DVD is enormously important for helping your child move to the next level. I should know. I have a two-year-old and were currently in the process of trying to potty train her. My wife claims that she was potty-trained at a year old but this is fairly unrealistic.
The main reason is that it helps to be able to communicate verbally with your child during potty training, and most one-year-olds dont have the capacity. We can now say, Do you need to go potty? and she knows exactly what were saying. Even so, it is a long and sometimes frustrating process.
Getting Help with a Potty Training DVD
Theres no shame in getting some help. Even if you dont let your child watch a lot of TV, using a potty training DVD can help a lot. In fact, if she doesnt watch a lot of TV, she may pay even closer attention to the TV and what its saying because it will seem more special.
My wife and I use every tactic. We have a potty training DVD, a potty training book, we sing songs, everything. The point is to make it an enjoyable process and not put too much pressure on the child. Potty training is a big step and it is important to ease your child rather than being too forceful.
